Terms of Service

Welcome to Bead & Bough. These terms govern the use of michimoda.com and the purchase of our products: by browsing the store or placing an order, you accept them along with our privacy policy. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer: in case of conflict, Spanish and European consumer law always prevails.

1. Use of the store

To make a purchase you must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to contract, provide accurate contact, billing, and shipping information, and keep your account credentials secure if you create an account.

2. Our products

We sell home decor and craft items, including seasonal DIY kits. Photos are for reference: there may be small variations in finish, size, or color compared to the image, and colors may look slightly different depending on your screen; none of this affects your right of withdrawal or the legal warranty.

3. Orders and contract formation

When you place an order, you are making a purchase offer: the contract is finalized when we send you the confirmation. We may refuse or cancel it for justified reasons, such as unavailability, an obvious pricing error, or reasonable suspicion of fraud; in that case we will let you know and refund what you paid.

4. Prices, VAT, and discounts

Prices are shown VAT included for orders within the European Union. The price you see on the product page, plus any shipping costs shown before payment, is the final amount you'll be charged. For orders outside the EU (including the United States), the price may exclude local taxes applied at destination.

Prices and promotions may change, but the one applicable to your purchase is the one in effect when you place your order, as reflected in the confirmation.

5. Shipping and delivery

We prepare orders within 24-48 hours and ship them with tracking. Products ship from China or from our warehouses in Europe/the US depending on the item. Estimated delivery time is 5 to 18 business days for Spain and the EU, and 8 to 23 business days for the United States and other international destinations; a more specific estimate is shown on each product page. We commit to delivering within a maximum of 30 calendar days from confirmation; if we fail to do so, you may give us a reasonable additional period to deliver, and if we still fail, you may cancel the contract and recover what you paid. The risk of loss or damage is ours until you receive the order.

In the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla, shipping is also free, but the package goes through customs: the delivery time is significantly longer, and IGIC or IPSI taxes and customs handling fees may apply, not included in the price and payable by the buyer.

6. Withdrawal and returns

You have 14 calendar days from receipt to withdraw without giving a reason, by notifying us in writing, and a commercial period of 30 days to return or exchange the product. The refund is issued to the same payment method within 14 calendar days of your notification. Details in our refund and returns policy.

7. Legal warranty of conformity

You have a 3-year legal warranty from delivery. If the product is not conforming, you're entitled to repair or replacement at no cost and, when that isn't possible, to a price reduction or to cancel the contract. To file a claim, write to us through our contact form with your order number, describing the issue.

8. Intellectual property

The texts, images, videos, and designs of the store are protected. Do not reproduce or modify them, or use the name or distinctive signs of Bead & Bough, without our prior written permission.

9. Reviews, errors, and external links

If you send us reviews or photos, you authorize us to publish them to promote the store and are responsible for their accuracy. We may remove content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on third-party rights.

There may be typos in descriptions, prices, or availability: we may correct them and cancel orders affected by an obvious pricing error, refunding the amount. The store may include links to third-party sites we don't control.

10. Prohibited uses

You may not use the store for unlawful purposes, to infringe on third-party rights, to send unsolicited advertising, to impersonate identities, to introduce malicious code, to extract content in an automated way, or to bypass our security measures. We may suspend access for anyone who violates these terms.

11. Liability

We strive to keep the store running well, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect damages or loss of profit. This limitation does not affect damages caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, personal injury, the legal warranty, or any other liability that consumer law does not allow to be excluded.

12. Privacy

We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and our privacy policy.

13. Applicable law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Spanish law. As a consumer, you may bring claims before the courts of your place of residence.

Before going to court, write to us through our contact form: we will try to resolve it amicably. You can also contact the consumer authorities of your autonomous community or the Consumer Arbitration System. The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform ceased operating on July 20, 2025, and is no longer available.

14. Other matters

If any clause is found invalid, the rest will remain valid. We may update these terms by publishing the new version on this page; orders already placed are governed by the terms in effect at the time of purchase.
